Full Stack Software Engineer
Position Location: Heraklion, Crete
Cloud Services Company (Oxygen Pelatologio) is searching for skilled and talented software engineers to develop and maintain our organization’s web (SaaS) products and services.
Cloud Services company is one of few Certified companies by AADE to provider electronic invoicing in Greece (myDATA). Through its Saas software, Oxygen Pelatologio (oxygen.gr), which is a business software CRM/ERP, it particularly focuses on electronic invoicing, cloud cashier/POS, online payments, e-shop integrations, and the broader management of businesses.
The Company has its headquarters in STEP-C at the Foundation of Research and Technology Park (FORTH) in Heraklion, Crete.
Your duties will include managing and reviewing code, updating and maintaining existing applications or services and developing new web-based products and tools. Occasionally may request to do second level technical support to customers in case of more complex problems.
The ideal candidate for this role must have excellent coding skills, excellent communication with customers and team members, good task management, critical thinking skills and problem solver. Must be in a position that can predict problems and software needs.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute cross stack, with a focus on front end technologies, and learn wide variety of skills and technologies
- Passion for writing, managing, reviewing and debugging clean and testable code
- Work with production systems and on-call process
- Updating and maintaining existing applications/services and developing new web-based products and tools
- Front End Design (HTML / CSS / Javascript)
- Troubleshooting Interface & system errors
- Technical support to customers when needed
- Testing / Follow scenarios
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
- Experience developing desktop applications
- Familiarity with common stacks
- Knowledge & Experience with front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
- Excellent Knowledge of back-end language (PHP)
- Basic knowledge of versioning control system (Git)
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MariaDB)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Great attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Can follow deadlines
- Strong aptitude for math
- Expert knowledge in Greek, English (company’s main language is Greek)
Additional Experience:
- Experience with front-end frameworks (vue.js, alpine.js)
- Experience with back-end frameworks (Laravel)
- Experience with WooCommerce, Opencart or similar e-commerce platforms
- Personal projects or github account will be greatly valued
- Degree in Computer Science, Technology or relevant field
- Experience with AWS
